Registered Massage Therapy

Vera Cheng

Vera Cheng was born and raised in Calgary. She’s been practicing as a therapist since 2003 with training from Mount Royal College and finishing at Calgary College of Holistic Health. Her training was originally motivated by receiving treatments herself due to several injuries, she found massage therapy was a big contribution to her healing progression.

Her practice then evolved as she was inspired by how beautifully the human body was created to heal as she believes that we are created to move (and grow) in every area of our being- mind, body and spirit. If any of these areas are neglected, the body becomes stagnant to heal. By maintaining a posture to grow and serve in her community, you will find Vera thriving in interaction with patients who’ve grown to be close friends, traveling and exploring the world, reading books, writing, being mentored by men and women who she’s inspired to live like, and staying active daily with: swimming, biking, yoga, climbing and being outside in general.

Vera’s love for massage therapy is beyond a job but a life style. Whether your need is treatment on localized injury, pre-natal, sports therapy, relaxation, deep tissue or nutritional/ health needs or advice, her desire is to customize her treatments for each individual.

Maria Huerta

After 18 years working as a Professional Engineer in the very lucrative industry of Information Technology, life led
Maria to helping people reach physical, mental and emotional well-being.  Throughout her entire life Maria had a
natural disposition to heal using her hands, so she took on the responsibility to further educate herself and teach
others about health and healing. This triggered the beginning of her studies in Psychology,  Massage Therapy,
Reflexology, and Aromatherapy and is now enrolled in Cranio Sacral Therapy.

Maria has experience working with sport injuries, MVA injuries, TMJ disorder, whiplash, pregnant women, seniors
and children.

Maria has had the opportunity to work with people on a daily basis for more than 15 years and the privilege of
assisting in the health and stress management of those she has worked with. As a massage therapist she understands
the importance of listening to your body, calming your mind, treating muscular injuries; and teaching you about
self care.

Her life has been driven by the quest of searching for deeper understanding of human nature. This has led her to
walk a spiritual path studying Archetypal Psychology, meditation and yoga.
